Cupcake for Papa

A young lady wanted something special for her dad.  Suit, briefcase, tie, golf tee, working shoes, white shirt, ATM (Abah's meaning Dad's)....all these on cupcakes.

I wish I can see her dad's reaction when he saw these cupcakes.

Topsy Turvy Birthday Cake

This is a WOW cake!!!  At least by our standard.  It was also fun to make.  The colors are so vibrant and put us in the right mood as well.

A traveling grandma commissioned this cake as a SURPRISE DUAL celebration for 2 persons close to her heart.

One is her 7 year old grand daughter who totally totally loves candy.  She wanted to surprise her grandma with her new haircut on her birthday but a little bird told grandma about it.  So the cheeky lady beat her to it by making sure we do a figurine of her with her new doll-cut!!!

The other celebrant is 70.  A very close family friend who owns a cabin up in the Swiss Alps.  He travels a lot while posted here.  His favorite place in the world is Penang of coz hence a globe depicting different scenes from the island....Penang Bridge, Hill train, sea and beaches etc.

When we delivered the cake the mother of the little girl was so excited and shock to see the actual cake exactly like what we sketched....she left us standing at the door holding that heavy cake!!!!  When she realised what was happening she was so flustered she quickly ushered us in....but too excited to find a place to HIDE the cake!!! Hahaha.  It made our day.

Pink Stencil Off-set Wedding Cake

A stenciled cake that is stacked off-set.  With sugar roses.  Very classic design.

Peony Cake

Customer wanted the same design as my mother's 70 birthday cake but that was my first ever fondant cake.  Design-wise it was alright but execution... has lots of room for improvement.  Anyway I do not like to repeat any design so we made some changes.

Which one do you like better?

Money Bag

The cake says it all.  Money.  Money.  Money.  For Papa Dearest.

We used printed edible images.

Jake The Pirate Cake

This is a big cake!!  We were tasked with a set of 7 figurines....Jake, Cubby, Izzy, Skully the parrot, Tic-toc Croc and their treasure box on their ship Bucky.   As its a party for children there were also cupcakes with Jake and his crew as toppers.

We took days just to make the ship and figurines.  Weenee took care of the figurines while I was responsible for the ship.  Out of all the figurines I love Croc and Skully best.  Who is your fave?

Hedgehog Cake

One of the cutest request so far.

Golf Cake

This cake was inspired by Cakesalouisa & Royal Bakery!

Customer was very precised to what she wants...down to the attires of the figurines.  What made it even more challenging was that it was a last minute order!!!  I would not be able to pull it through alone within 3 days but with Weenee....I would not say it was a breeze for us but we had a blast!!!

Also the last minute changes just 1 hour before delivery nearly freaked us out but we turned the 'cliff-climbing' as an opportunity to prove that we deliver!!!

The customer was very happy with the cake and thanked us for making it happened.
