Classic Rose Wedding Cake

For a bride who wants something evergreen and classic.  I saw this design 20 years ago and will see this 20 years from now too.  Hehehe.  Wise choice.

Royal Australian Airforce Cake

Commissioned for a squadron name change from 324CSS to 19SQN.  Logo is handpainted on sugar paste.

Moth Orchid Wedding Cake

Moth Orchid or Phalaenopsis wedding cake commissioned by an Australian lady who came all the way to Penang for her destination wedding.

Lace Pillow Wedding Cake

This cake was commissioned and paid for through nothing more than 5 emails.  Like Chinese say, "hoe song fai" and I love it.

Its all real cakes for this 3-tier mint green and cream pillow cake.

I used textured rolling pin for the top tier embellished with swarovski crystals.  Second tier is covered with concentric circle using molds from Mayan.  Its easy to use and beautiful too.  Love the texture!  This mold is available at Sugar.  We have limited stocks only so grab it while you can!!!!!  The bottom tier is covered with pieces of sugar laces which I pasted randomly to give it a more natural feel.

The whole cake is them sprayed with a light mist of pearl sheen.  This is like killing 2 birds with 1 stone.....as it gives the 'ribbon' a satin look at the same time.

Purple Peony Cupcake Tower

A rare color combo....purple and green.  Purple is the bride's favorite color and green is the groom's.  When put together its like their love for each other...strong and sincere!!

Another Rose Cake

This is for a small morning reception for a very nice couple.  Pretty in pink!!

Dragon & Phoenic Cake for 90th Birthday Celebration

This cake was commissioned for a 90th birthday celebration.  A rare number to make, huh?

The dragon was semi-molded.  The body was hand-mold and covered with cut-out scales.  I tried to use tools to make scales directly on the body but it cracked a few times much to my frustration. As time was running out I was desperate and do what a normal person will do and try not to act clever...use circles!!! Yes...piece by piece but it was still way easier than when I tried to use my curved tools to make indentations.

Results was not too bad.  If only we have more time I would have hand-molded the feet as well. Weenee did a good job on the scroll and as requested a 2D phoenix.  As buddy from 'Cake Boss' would say "when we stand back and look, it was just awesome!"
