Green Ombre Blossom Cupcake Tower

This young couple came back from Australia to have their wedding.  They love green and decided on an Irish green (groom is Irish) with ombre blossom so as not too overwhelming.

Simple elegance.

Apple Cake & Cookies

This cake was commissioned for one year old Qian Rui.  Theme: You are the apple of my eye!!  The mother wanted 'apples' on the cake with a little girl figurine...and 150 pieces of cookies.

We use applique style design on the side of the cake for the apples and # 1 like those commonly found on baby comforter. And...just to be cheeky we decided to add in a cute 3-D worm!!!  Original proposal was in yellow but customer wanted pink.

The cookies were all about apples and more apples.  Striking red too!

Minion Cake #2

I did not see how anyone can love this little thing before I made this second cake.  I guess this yellow creature grows on me....with such big eyes and big goggles...and wearing that denim jumper suit.  There are a few versions of these minions....one eyed, two-eyed, long sausaged-type, short stumpy ones, lots of hair, stringy haired-ones etc etc I am getting to love them now.  How not to when I have to stroke the face, plant hair, make his eyes, wear his goggles for him, give him his short stumpy but cute legs and give him expression?  As cake artists we have to try to make him come alive....and in doing so we build a special bond!!!  Give you the creeps???  Wahahaha.  Laugh with me if you want and this is how I start to love these Minions.

Anyway this customer wants his Minion to be in clay and as big as his cake!  He wants the recipient, his sweetheart to keep the Minion forever.  It makes all the sense, right?

Well...I hope you love this Minion as much as us in Sugar!

Minecraft Cake

Another game-craze cake! This was the second request for a Minecraft cake.  Because of tight schedule we could not take the first order. But I guess if we had taken that order we might not be jumping into this one with such excitement.  It was so time consuming cutting those little squares in so many colors and shades with fondant.

Believe it or not there were a total of 1850 squares in this set!!!  Pieced together one by one!!! And getting each one align to another in straight line horizontally and vertically.

Commissioned by Mummy Yani for George's 9th birthday this cake was presented as a cupcake tower with a CUBE minicake and 25 square cupcakes.  We felt that square cupcakes will look better for cubic design topper.

What do you think?  Unique, huh?

Our customer was so excited when she came to collect them and messaged that it was a big hit in George's school amongst friends, teachers and family too.

Candy Crush Cake

Oh the Candy Crush craze is catching up on to cakes as well.  We got a call to make this cake but I was hesitant as I 'hate' this game.  Its taking over everybody's life in my family and I am not liking the waste of their time...but Weenee was sooooooo excited.  She said "WE HAVE TO TAKE  THIS ORDER!"  When my partner said that what choice do I have especially when she volunteered to do all the little candies *wink wink*

Plush Duckling Cake

A very cute cake for a very cute little Sue-Rin.

This was the first proposal
and customer told us she wants
big-big eyes like that of Sue-rin and
prefer a sitting duckling.
She thought the cake might look like a roast duck.
Hahaha...we never thought about that.

Customer feedback:
The cake was a hit at the birthday party in Maricosa!!!
All guests thought that someone gave Sue-rin a plush toy as a present!
